Tickets Please !!! BUS SIMULATOR 21 Launches Today

More buses, more brands and freedom like never before! Today, astragon Entertainment and stillalive studios are happy to announce that with Bus Simulator 21 the most extensive bus driving experience in the history of the popular game series is ready for departure on the digital stores as well as numerous retail stores around the world!

The official Bus Simulator 21 – Release Trailer is offering some deeper insights into the game:

With Bus Simulator 21 the latest part of the popular simulation game series is now available on the digital download stores as well as a disk version in numerous retail stores around the world. Players can look forward not only to the most extensive vehicle fleet, but also to numerous new and improved features and the freest gaming experience in series history to date!

Numerous brands and bus models!

With 30 officially licensed buses by 10 world-famous brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Scania, BYD, Alexander Dennis, Blue Bird, Grande West, Setra, IVECO BUS and MAN bus enthusiasts can choose from an unprecedented variety of bus models in Bus Simulator 21 – including city buses, articulated buses and, for the first time, also e-buses and a double-decker!

Two maps, multiplayer and an even freer open world approach!

Compared to its predecessor, Bus Simulator 21 offers two huge, lively maps: The North American-inspired city “Angel Shores”, and the European based city “Seaside Valley” known from its predecessor Bus Simulator 18 including the areas of the official map expansion. Both maps are offering an even freer open-world approach that invites players to explore their surroundings: For example, to pay a visit to the bus dealer to look at new models or to go on a merry search for carefully hidden easter eggs – be it alone or in cooperative multiplayer mode with up to three other players.

Another innovation is the floating day and night cycle, including dynamic weather. In addition, players will – for the first time – be able to access convenience comfort functions such as fast travel to all important points on the map, an option to fast forward the time to any point, and take-over the buses of their teammates or AI colleagues at any time they want. True to the motto “Less time in menus and more time on the road”, players are free to choose whether they want to use these options via the map menu or within the game world directly.

Enhanced management features!

If bus driving isn’t enough for you, you can also look forward to numerous whole new and improved management functions which, if desired, provide even more depth to the game. In Bus Simulator 21 you can not only create your own routes freely, but for the first time also use more in-depth micromanagement in order to optimize the income of your local transport company: examples are setting up detailed timetables including peak times, efficient route planning that takes the number of passengers at specific day or night times into account and more.

Exciting challenges and random events!

During the bus rides, players can expect plenty of variety: In addition to the huge selection of different bus models with their unique driving behavior, challenging traffic situations – such as narrow streets, oncoming traffic, serpentines, bus stations, night journeys, construction sites, cross-country journeys, potholes, traffic jams, traffic obstacles and speed bumps – ensure that bus drivers will have ample opportunity to prove their driving skills in different situations. Random events such as a litter left behind in the bus, special requests from passengers, fare dodgers, loud music, and blocked bus stops should of course also not go unnoticed by the driver.

Numerous customizing options for buses and player characters!

To ensure that the bus company presents an individual corporate identity to the player’s wishes, Bus Simulator 21 offers extensive options to customize the appearance of buses and bus drivers. Buses can not only be designed freely in terms of color but can also be decorated with a huge selection of stickers, complete paintworks and advertisements. Meanwhile, the new character editor comes up with more than 15,000 design combinations with which the appearance of the bus drivers can be adjusted according to the player’s preferences in terms of physique, clothing, skin color, hairstyle, accessories, etc.

Angel Shores Insider Skin Pack DLC as a free download during release week!

Players wishing for even more options to customize their bus fleet, can look forward to a very special gift during the release week of Bus Simulator 21: From September 07 until September 13, 2021 the Angel Shores Insider Skin Pack DLC with 10 additional skins will be available for all buyers of the game as a free download on Steam™, on the PlayStation®Store and on the Microsoft Store!

H.P. Lovecraft meets Cyberpunk. Delve deep into a dystopian world and investigate what is happening to you and your friends in a domed city. Solve puzzles, hack systems and plug in to explore other dimensions. Discover a truth that might tear apart your sanity and question your very existence.

If you’re looking for bit of a different set up in gameplay, thd Transient is for you with a mix of puzzles, horror and mystery all set in a stunning cyberpunk world.

You play as Randolph Carter, a shady character a bit like a battle hardened east end cop, uncovering mysteries while dimension jumping showing many different alternate realities.

Transient is set in a HP Lovecraft world where you walk through the surreal reality of the game world solving puzzles as you go, I’ll be honest at times it’s easy to get yourself lost in what you are doing as it isn’t always clear what your objective is.

One part of the game play that I personally thought was under used was the hacking, you only have to use it to solve puzzles or gather intel, this would’ve been perfect used to open doors and hack systems there was so much more that could’ve been done with this.

Overall I found the game was certainly long enough to keep my interest however at times the objectives I felt were overly difficult and that took away some of the enjoyment of the actual gameplay itself.

Graphics and Sound

Now graphics is one area you can’t knock Transient it looks stunning, if I’m going to be picky I would say that some of the facial animations in the cutscenes look a bit dated but apart from that a fully immersive experience.

The soundtrack is perfect for the game with lots of dramatic music adding to the atmosphere. The in game sound effects are great and work well with the game styling, some of the voice acting can be a bit cheesy but it’s not overly a problem.

To summarise my thoughts of Transient, a fully immersive game that’s stunning to look at, some of the gameplay is a little over complicated for me but may suit others more, aside from my little niggles an all round decent game.

Verdict-Out of 5🌟

I give Transient a good 3🌟 well worth checking out if you like a cyber mystery to solve.

GLYPH Review

Platforms Available On: PC and Nintendo Switch-reviewed on PC.

Glyph’s gameplay combines breathtaking aerial maneuvers with tranquil exploration in a stunning 3D platforming experience. Add a mesmerizing original soundscape, and Glyph is lifting you up and whisking you away.

If you like platform/puzzle games with a bit of parkour thrown in then you’re probably in the right place, Glyph offers a tranquil twist to the norm of what you would normally expect from a platformer but still bringing that addictive gameplay you would expect from this type of game.

Thanks to Anobi who woke you from your slumber, you are tasked with finding The Lost Temple of Aaru, you will use your new found body and it’s ball shape to roll around the game world using Portals to make your way through the world.

In a similar theme to The Floor is Lava you can’t come off the track as the sand is deadly, it can get a little tricky to maneuver round the tighter corners but it can be done.

Although the gameplay itself can be tricky that really is all part of the fun and although you will die numerous times you literally won’t want to put it down it really has that effect on you, it definitely has that “one more go” factor about it.

Combine the normal gameplay with the regular challenges the developers put out for the community over on their Discord channel there definitely is a longevity to this game, as in you never really complete the game there is always something to do.

Graphics and Sound

The graphics of Glyph are surprisingly good with a detailed backdrop and a captivating visual style you can’t help but fall in love with this game, it certainly is beautiful to look at.

The mesmerising soundtrack only adds to the atmosphere and adds more depth to the gameplay, all the ingame sound effects are very well planned out and feel authentic adding more to the gameplay.

To summarise my thoughts of Glyph, a captivating fun ride rolling adventure well worth checking out if you like 3D platformers.

Verdict – Out of 5🌟

A good family friendly platformer well worth adding to your , would recommend to anyone who likes a platformer/puzzler.

Imagine if Chess Had Lazers – Sounds Good? Well Take a Look At DEFLECTION

Deflection is a turn-based strategy board game inspired by the classic Laser Chess games and the famous board game Khet. Although it may look like a puzzle game, it is however a player-versus-player mind-bending game, just like chess, where the main goal of a match is to destroy enemy pieces and the rival King by bouncing your laser off mirrors, going through portals and activating other pieces.

With a variety of pieces each having different advantages, abilities, and weaknesses, use the one move you are allowed per turn to strategically bring yourself closer to victory. At the end of every turn, you must shoot your laser… be careful not to hit one of your own pieces!
Some pieces can even be controlled by both players, which adds another layer of fun and strategy.

Take advantage of pieces with abilities like:

The Disruptor, which, when activated by the laser, will disable and weaken nearby pieces, rendering them useless.

The Tesla Tower can eliminate a random nearby piece with an electric beam, regardless of its color.

The Spike, which, when shot from any side, will shoot four lasers in all directions before destroying itself.

Theses are just a few examples, some pieces even block the laser!
Use Mirrors, Portals, Tesla Towers, Spikes etc. to defeat an AI or another player in Local/Couch Multiplayer or Online Multiplayer, in a dozen of pre-made maps or user-made ones.
Create Levels/Maps by placing cells and pieces in the Level Editor and play in your creations against friends or an AI.

Key Features:

Local and Online Multiplayer.

Singleplayer: Play versus AI.

Level Editor!
Tutorial mode which goes through rules and tactics.
A lot of scenarios/maps designed to challenge you, some having unique pieces only available in them.
Many different pieces with advantages, downsides, abilities and more. (Portals, Tesla Towers, Spikes etc.)
3D Camera with full control, with cutscenes during kills, activations etc.
Steam Achievements and stats.

Deflection is available on Steam from 14th September 2021.

ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights Review

Developed By: Adglobe.

Platforms Available On: PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Reviewed on PC via Steam – a code was very kindly supplied for the purpose of this review.

ENDER LILIES is a dark fantasy 2D action RPG about unraveling the mysteries of a destroyed kingdom. On this sorrowful journey, encounter horrific enemies against whom a moment of inattention could be fatal. Overcome these hardships and seek the truth with the help of fallen knights.

Now I make no secret I’m a big fan of the old school 2D side scrolling platformers and love playing them in their many different guises, Ender Lilies is definitely different but in a real good way.

You play as Lily, a small child who can call upon your spirit companions to help you against the Blights that lurk around the many levels.

At first it took a while to get used to the controls as they aren’t configured as most PC games seem to be, so a few clicks of random keys was needed before I set off to get a feel of what does what. The game itself is immersive from the start with an indepth story that is told throughout with its various cutscenes and dialogue telling the story.

The eerie feel to the overall game really makes you feel fully invested into the story and grabbed into the game from the start, it isn’t a game that just clicks straight away, you do have to work with it and have patience but persevere and the spoils are there, in true metroidvania style the more you put into the game the more you get out of it.

As you go through the many different levels via the different passages you encounter various creatures, or badguys we can call them, each getting more difficult to defeat as you go calling on your spirit friends to help you when needed, the combat itself is good with lots of blood on show slightly weird how the main protagonist sent to wipe these out is a young girl but hey all power to her, she definitely knows how to kick some ass.

All in all I found Ender Lilies an enchanting tale with a dramatic graphical style, well worth checking out if you’re into metroidvanias with a difference, I would definitely recommend taking a look.

Graphics and Sound

The graphic style of Ender Lilies is definitely unique with its dramatic styling and tones. The graphics of when Lily calls in her spirit allies to assist are amazing and plenty of blood in the combat, the game worlds are very well put together and thought out all looks great.

The soundtrack is great, definitely adds to the overall feeling of the game. The in game sounds are great and give an overall magical feel to the game.

To summarise my thoughts of Ender Lilies: Quietus of The Knights, I enjoyed the overall experience at times it edged on the difficult but overall an enjoyable gaming experience.

Verdict-Out of 5🌟

I give Ender Lilies: Quietus of The Knights a decent score of 3🌟 a good overall gaming experience.

GLITCHPUNK Hits Early Access On Steam

Enter the chaos-ridden streets of New Baltia! Do you have what it takes to handle the unbridled insanity of a world unhinged? Revealed to be coming to Steam Early Access on Aug. 11th, 2021, Glitchpunk, a cyberpunk-themed game with an old-school GTA 2 feel, will feature New Baltia as the first playable city in the game. Providing approximately eight hours of play at launch, it won’t be long before more content arrives.

Outpost Texas, originally intended to be included at launch, will arrive in three to four weeks as Glitchpunk’s first major update. Adding another six to eight hours of play, developer Dark Lord decided they wanted to give players their absolute best and chose to spend a small amount of time continuing to develop the second city.

A top-down action game where you shoot, brawl, drive, steal and sneak yourself through a neon-soaked world full of gangs and cults, forging cooperations along the way, Glitchpunk isn’t just about blowing things up – it also tells a compelling story of transhumanism, xenophobia, and religion. You can influence the world around you, make new friends, face off against more enemies than you can count – and perhaps, just perhaps, convert an enemy’s aversion to affection.

Glitchpunk’s Early Access will launch with New Baltia available on day one and Outpost Texas arriving in three to four weeks. Two more cities — Neo Tokyo and Moscow — will be added during the Early Access journey. Each city has its own gangs and characters while also continuing the protagonist’s gripping story. Keep an eye out for more information on Glitchpunk’s Early Access updates as a detailed road map will be on the way soon after the game’s launch.

In Glitchpunk you play as a glitching android going against your own programming and challenging the tyrannical governments and megacorps of the dystopian near-future. Forge your own path in several cities full of drug-crazed gangs, aggressive police, and irresponsible drivers that make each mission and playthrough unpredictable. Steal cars and lead your enemies on a merry chase, fight them with a variety of melee and long-range weapons, and upgrade your own body with technology that enables you to manipulate your surroundings or improve your capabilities.

Key features:

  • Brutal top-down action with a massive arsenal of weapons to choose from
  • Hacking system allowing players to control the minds of pedestrians and affect various devices.
  • Many different ways of locomotion, including trains, tanks, motorbikes, buses, trucks, and obviously tons of cars
  • Frantic police chases and up to 10 escalations of mayhem-inducing wanted levels
  • 12 gangs with their own stories, quests, and culture
  • Four different cities, from the desert remains of the USA to cyberpunk Soviet Russia in a post-nuclear winter (New Baltia at Early Access launch, Outpost Texas 3 to 4 weeks post-launch, and two more to come!)
  • Mature story with several endings
  • Rare art style mix of 2D sprites in a 3D environment
  • In-game radio with music by artists from all over the world, together with news stations and absurd commercials

In this fast-paced, puzzle-loaded action adventure, you’ll juggle housework, zombie hordes, family dinners and radioactive squirrels! Oh, and you have to prevent the end of the world while keeping everyone from finding out it was all your fault.

If you love action adventure games with that retro look and feel to it then look no further than Mayhem in Single Valley, a retro styled puzzler, action adventure zombie game that is literally bursting at the seams with gameplay action.

I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing a few games published by tinyBuild and they don’t seem to publish dead ducks and Mayhem to be fair is definitely another great title to add to their list.

You play as Jack, a young lad who is leaving Single Valley to start a new chapter in his life, that is until a mysterious chemical spillage turns the towns animals crazy and turning the locals into Zombies, don’t you just hate it when that happens?? What ensues is a game full of twists and turns heavily story driven.

Controls are pretty simple to get used to and the overall feel of the game will definitely appeal to those older gamers (yes that would be me). The game is certainly big enough to keep you going and entertained for a good while. The different challenges you cone across aren’t overly difficult and fun to work through.

Graphics and Sound

With Mayhem the devs have gone with a retro pixilated look and it looks fantastic definitely getting me in the nostalgic feels, the game world will definitely appeal to retro gamers and newbies alike with its vibrant colours and styling it really feels like a clean game.

For the soundtrack they have gone with music taken straight from the golden age of gaming right back to the early nineties. The in game sound effects are great, there is no realism here and to be fair it doesn’t need it.

To summarise my thoughts then of Mayhem In Single Valley, a great nostalgic action adventure game with plenty on offer to keep you going. Definitely worth looking at if you are after a nostalgic fix or looking for something different it’s all here.

Verdict-Out of 5🌟

Good 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I give Mayhem In Single Valley a solid 4🌟 another great game fro. The tinyBuild stable.
